The Steps We've Taken
In 1996, Tiger Woods and his father Earl brought their family motto of “caring and sharing” to life with the inception of the Tiger Woods Foundation. Since then, the Foundation has provided inspiration and support to over 10 million young people. Through the Foundation’s work, Tiger has passed on his family’s values of integrity, honesty, discipline and fun to youth around the world.
Through various programs like the Tiger Woods Learning Center, Tiger's Action Plan and TWF Grants and Youth Clinics, children and teens have not only received encouragement and opportunity, but also strong values and tools needed to achieve their goals. Over the years, the Foundation has also raised and dispersed more than $30 million toward communities nationwide through grants, scholarships and the Tiger Woods Learning Center.
Fundraising efforts have grown immensely since the Foundation’s inception. Events such as the AT&T National, Chevron World Challenge presented by Countrywide, Tiger Jam presented by AT&T and the TWLC Block Party raise millions of dollars every year for TWF programs. Many corporations, foundations and individual donors have also played a crucial role in fostering the Foundation’s growth.
The Tiger Woods Foundation has come a long way in ten years, and millions of kids are a tremendous legacy to Earl and Tiger's powerful message of caring and sharing.
