EARL WOODS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

In celebration of Earl Woods’ lifelong dedication to helping young people achieve their dreams, TWF created the Earl Woods Scholarship program. This program was funded entirely through the generous individual donations received from around the world in honor of Earl. To date, more than $1 million has been donated in Earl’s memory of caring and sharing. Touched by the outpouring of love from so many TWF friends and supporters, Tiger matched the money raised, bringing the total amount to over $2 million. The Earl Woods Scholarship will be awarded in amounts of up to $5,000 and is open to academically successful graduating high school seniors who have demonstrated financial need and a proven commitment to community service. The Earl Woods Scholarship program is a fitting tribute to the man who touched countless lives in a positive way.

NATIONAL MINORITY JUNIOR GOLF SCHOLARSHIP ASSOCIATION/ TIGER WOODS FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS
In February of 2000, the Tiger Woods Foundation (TWF) joined with the National Minority Junior Golf Scholarship Association (NMJGSA) to create the NMJGSA/TWF Scholarships. As part of this program, TWF donates $5,000 per year to the NMJGSA, which they then match to create five $2,000 scholarship awards given annually.

The mission of the NMJGSA is to increase the participation of minority youth in the sport of golf and provide financial assistance in support of their efforts to experience the extraordinary advantages of education and opportunity. They encourage student golfers to fully develop their golf potential and thus enhance their opportunity to participate in competitive golf as either amateurs or at the professional level. Since 1984, the NMJGSA has been identifying minority student golfers and providing financial support to help them attend colleges and universities across the nation through their scholarship program.
